Critical Care Unit At Fulton County Medical Center

Critical Care

If your loved one has been admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) for a serious or potentially serious problem, it is our goal to give them the best care possible. Our Critical Care Unit is a 7-bed unit serving all age groups and diagnoses who may be suffering from a serious health problem. Our physicians and medical staff are here to help you or a loved one on the road to recovery. All of our Registered Nurses are trained in Critical Care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support. In addition, we have consulting physicians available in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Pulmonology, Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Urology, and Vascular Surgery.

Visitation

The staff realizes visitation is important to both the patient and family. For this reason we have visiting hours allowing the immediate family (husband, wife, father, mother, sister, brother, children and significant other) time with their loved one while also providing the patient ample time for rest and nursing care. Visitation is limited to two visitors at a time. Normal visiting hours are 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. everyday.

Our CCU has a visitor’s waiting area that is open 24 hours a day for your convenience and as well as a restroom nearby, television, and telephone. Family members visiting or waiting to visit may be contacted at 419-330-2770.
