Fulton County Health Center Auxiliary

Auxiliary Volunteers

For more than fifty years employees, patients and family members have benefited from the generosity of the individuals who voluntarily give of their time and talents to Fulton County Health Center. Through their time, talents and dedication the FCHC Auxiliary has touched the lives of thousands of people throughout Northwest Ohio.

Who Are the Volunteers?

Our volunteers are very special people whose gifts of time and dedication allow us to provide an extra dimension of care.

Whether it’s assisting in a patient care area, distributing flowers and mail to patients, working in the gift shop, helping in the cafeteria, helping at Fulton Manor, greeting people as they enter Fulton County Health Center, assisting patients and families in our surgical waiting areas, or assisting with clerical work, our more than 175 volunteers make a significant contribution.

There is no such thing as a “typical” volunteer. Their duties are as varied as their talents and responsibilities. They are women, men – working and retired who each add new talents and ideas to our volunteer program. Even though they are unique individuals, they all share a common purpose. They are committed to providing special warmth to the care a patient will receive on the Fulton County Health Center campus.

VolunTeen Program

The Fulton County VolunTeen Program is for high school students, fourteen years and older, who are contemplating a career in the field of medicine. Through the VolunTeen Program , students are given the opportunity to view the inner workings of the Health Center by rotating through a variety of departments including health information, nursing, radiology, and emergency services. Special arrangements can be made for students who have specific interests. The VolunTeen program gives students practical experience in health care by observing and assisting staff in meeting the needs of each department.
